Amerant Bank Promotes Lenya Suarez Rojo To EVP, Head of Retail and Business Banking & Appoints Silvia Larrieu as Business Development Director

Amerant Bank, the largest community bank headquartered in Florida, today announced the following regarding two key team members who will play an integral role in the Bank’s growth strategy in 2024.
Lenya Suarez Rojo has been promoted to Executive Vice President and head of retail and business banking at Amerant. Since joining Amerant in early 2022, Suarez Rojo has consistently showcased exceptional leadership qualities, a strong work ethic, and an unwavering commitment to success. In her new capacity, she will oversee all facets of Amerant Bank’s retail and business banking operations spanning South Florida, Tampa, FL, and Houston, Texas. This includes spearheading the development and execution of the Bank’s growth strategy in retail and business banking. Suarez Rojo will continue to report to Howard Levine, SEVP Head of Consumer Banking.
Silvia Larrieu has been appointed as Business Development Director. In this new role, Larrieu will focus on identifying and capitalizing on business development opportunities, with a specific emphasis on South Florida. Leveraging her extensive connections in the Miami-Dade market, Larrieu’s proficiency in building meaningful relationships will prove invaluable to the Bank’s business teams. She will report to Matthew Bruno, EVP Miami-Dade Market President.
