At 16 years of age, I began my own business; I would sell clothing at local flea markets that was handcrafted by my mother and grandmother.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She was a professional ballet dancer and back up dancer for Celia Cruz, purchased her first home at the age of 18, and married during high school. Being the mother of two wonderful daughters and later in life a stepmother of 4 has pushed her to be the best she can be for them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When she was a student at at Hialeah High School, they had had a visitor on Career Day who spoke about the bank she worked at. \u201cI fell in love with banking,\u201d she says. \u201cI began working as a bank teller while I was in school and have worked in numerous financial institutions across multiple lines of business over the years. This demonstrates the importance of having our educators take the time to help students pursue their career dreams.\u201d Now Senior Vice President and Head of Private Banking at Amerant Bank, she
