Markets will be focused on the Summary of Economic Projections (SEP, or dot plot) and Chair Powell\u2019s press conference to look for clues about the timing and pace of the Fed\u2019s next move after last week\u2019s macro data showed disappointing progress in taming inflation. The 10Y Treasury is around 4.3% as of this writing, while the 2Y is 4.7%. Core CPI fell to 3.8% on a YoY basis, down from 3.9% in January, but higher than the estimate for 3.7%. PPI Final Demand YoY was 1.6%, compared to the estimate for 1.2% and prior of 0.9%. PPI Final Demand on a MoM basis was 0.6%, compared to estimate of 0.3%. In earnings, Oracle (ORCL), Williams-Sonoma (WSM) and Dick\u2019s Sporting Goods (DKS) were the best releases, while Adobe (ADBE), Dollar Tree (DLTR), Kohl\u2019s (KSS) and Asana (ASAN) were disappointments. In-line results were witnessed from UiPath (PATH), Ulta Beauty (ULTA) and Dollar General (DG). In tech news, Nvidia (NVDA) was up slightly, as investors await next week\u2019s annual artificial intelligence conference, and Apple (AAPL) acquired Canadian AI company DarwinAI as it continues to push into the segment. Former Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin is rumored to be leading a group of investors in the acquisition of Tik Tok should legislation banning Chinese ownership pass. In other corporate news, US Steel (X) shares fell nearly 20% following President Biden\u2019s remarks of concerns regarding Nippon Steel and his preference for ownership to remain American, Dollar Tree (DLTR) announced plans to close 1,000 stores after reporting weak results, and government trial data showed Moderna (MRNA) and Merck (MRK) are partnering in a mid-stage study for an experimental skin cancer vaccine.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-the-week-ahead\"><strong>The Week Ahead<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Fed decision will be released on Wednesday, March 20.
