The partnership is part of Amerant&#8217;s IMPACT initiative, which was recently rebranded to encompass the bank\u2019s efforts related to its impact on environmental, social and governance matters. One of the goals of the initiative is to help cultivate students from the community seeking careers in various industries so that they can gain real-life and tangible work experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Amerant\u2019s latest internship offerings include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The Immersive Internship Program<\/strong>  &#8211;  a partnership with MDC\u2019s School of Engineering, Technology, and Design program. This one-year program will allow students to obtain real work experience in data analytics while completing their senior year. Interns in this program are considered full-time team members and will have access to the same benefits as full-time staff. Students in this program will work alongside the bank\u2019s Chief Digital Officer to implement bank-wide digital solutions. Upon completion, students will have the opportunity to transfer to a full-time position at the bank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The Personal Banking Apprenticeship Program<\/strong>  &#8211;  a partnership with MDC\u2019s Center for Financial Training (CFT) and School of Business. Apprentices will gain the skills needed to become banking specialists. Apprentices who complete this program will be considered to have ample experience in their field amongst peers and will have the opportunity to transfer to a full-time position at the bank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cMiami Dade College plays a vital role in educating our college students in South Florida, and through our new partnership, we are able to help further enrich students\u2019 lives by helping them grow in their career paths,\u201d said, Jerry Plush, Chairman and CEO of Amerant Bank. \u201cWe will be proud to see many of these students ultimately become permanent members of our growing team.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">MDC is the most diverse institution in the nation, with 167 nations and 63 languages representing its student body.
