He will additionally spearhead the group\u2019s directional initiatives, including fundraising and outreach activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Centro Mater Foundation is an organization which aims to support Centro Mater Child Care Services, Inc., a nonprofit that provides quality care and education to economically disadvantaged youths in Miami-Dade County.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIt is a great privilege to be appointed to this new role and lead this foundation to further its philanthropic mission,\u201d said Bruno. \u201cI am proud to continue to serve my community through this meaningful cause which positively impacts lives each and every day.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With 18 years of experience, having joined Amerant in 2001, Bruno is proficient in South Florida\u2019s banking industry. He attended Florida International University and earned a bachelor\u2019s degree in business administration and finance. Additionally, he received a graduate certificate in foundations of accounting and auditing from the university. Bruno also completed a Credit Training Program provided by Amerant Bank, then known as Mercantil Commercebank, in 2005.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe are proud to announce Bruno\u2019s appointment to lead such an impactful philanthropic initiative in our community as the newly elected chairman,\u201d said Millar Wilson, Vice-Chairman and CEO of Amerant Bank. \u201cHe has been an important part of the Amerant team for the last 18 years.
